Reflects Longstanding Dedication

The King Charles III Coronation Medal was established to commemorate the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to their communities, provinces, and to Canada as a whole.

Awarded to a select group of recipients across the country, the medal honours service rooted in leadership, volunteerism, public service, and civic engagement, values that closely align with the mission of the Royal Commonwealth Society.

At a formal ceremony held at Government House in Edmonton, four members of the Royal Commonwealth Society of Edmonton Board were presented with this distinguished honour by the Society’s Patron, Her Honour, Salma Lakhani, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta.

The recognition reflects their longstanding dedication to community service, education, cultural understanding, and strengthening ties within the Commonwealth.

Receiving the Coronation Medal is both a personal honour and a public acknowledgment of meaningful service carried out over many years.

For the Royal Commonwealth Society of Edmonton, this moment stands as a proud reflection of the commitment and leadership demonstrated by its volunteers and board members. It reinforces the Society’s enduring role in fostering shared values, civic responsibility, and engagement across generations, principles that remain central to the Commonwealth today.
